"Cluster" 2025 Oil on Canvas 20" x 20"         

 

This painting explores the dual meaning of the word “Cluster” - both celestial and human:  a group of people positioned closely together and a group of stars forming a relatively close association. 

“Cluster” blurs the boundary between the two: the closed shape of their faces tenderly aligning as if caught in an eternal embrace and their arms arching to form a luminous circle suggestive of a human cluster.

The deep blue background recalls an infinite night sky, the two gilded and glowing figures appearing almost weightless, suspended as though orbiting in harmony, bound together in intimacy and closeness, generating their own gravitational pull.
